Rodney W. Carter

Rodney W. Carter  is  a  partner in the law firm of Husch Blackwell LLP.  He practices in the firm's Milwaukee, Wisconsin, office.  With offices in 17 cities across the U.S., Husch Blackwell has a heritage of a century of exceptional legal service. A member of Husch Blackwell’s Real Estate, Development & Construction team, Rod counsels corporate clients of all sizes and types on a wide variety of business and real estate transactions. He also represents telecommunications companies, energy companies, cable companies and Internet service providers in all phases of their businesses.  Clients value the strategic vision that Rod brings to their businesses, along with his practical ability and relationships.

Rod received his Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was a member of the Law Review.  While in law school, Rod also completed an internship with Hon. John Coffey of the United States District Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  While attending Carthage, he interned in the Washington, D.C. offices of United States Congressmen Gerald Kleczka and Jim Moody.

Rod is married to his best friend from law school, Eileen Miller Carter, who currently serves in the Wauwatosa City Attorney's Office.  He and Eileen have three children--two sons and a daughter.  Their family life is busy with activities related to the children.  Time allowing, the Carter family enjoys traveling and entertaining friends and family.  They are also avid Marquette fans.
