Biography
Michael Jurkash is an attorney in Steinhilber Swanson's Milwaukee office and a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy group. He represents individuals and businesses in restructurings, financial reorganization, receiverships, bankruptcy, other debt adjustment strategies and civil litigation matters. Michael joined the firm following his graduation in the spring of 2022 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
During law school, Michael served as an Articles Editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and was elected to the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Moot Court Team. Michael served as an Equal Justice America Fellow at the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee and interned in the chambers of Justice Rebecca Bradley at the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Prior to law school, he was a Project Assistant in the securities and shareholder litigation group at a Chicago law firm.
Michael is a member of the Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Creditors’ Rights Section, and the Litigation Section of the Wisconsin State Bar and is a member of its Young Lawyers Division.
Outside of practicing law, Michael enjoys playing piano, riding his bike, and spending time at the tennis and volleyball courts.
