Had him from public defender's office. He was a nice guy and he did answer phone calls. There ended up being some major constitutional issues with my case that were discovered after Attorney Meehan was no longer my attorney. A critique of attorney Meehan would not be entirely fair because it's the wh...ole Public defender organization as a whole. They could easily flip the tables, start refusing to waive the right to a speedy trial, pushing the calendar back to get more research time and I'm sure many other things I don't even know about. Overall attorney Meehan was responsive but I think he may have been burdened by his employer. After he left I spent over 1,000hrs and researching, filing open records requests, got in a 6 month long battle over one but prevailed. Uncovered the arresting officer had been fired for misconduct from a diff police dpt, and I noticed the teletype access log was used the same time I was already pulled over so it was an illegal stop. Hopefully the officer will get fired but probably not.
