I had hired Kim Lewis to handle the closing of the home I was selling in Twin Lakes, WI. He said his fee was $500 for closing. When we received an offer on the home, I had called him to ask a question, very rude and abrupt and he didn't answer my question. When we accepted the offer and our home was ...inspected, I received the inspection report and had a question. I called him and received a similar rude response to my question as before with no definitive answer. The day before closing, I went to his office and I wanted to see the HUD 1 form that has all the final numbers relating to the sale of my home on it. He said he didn't have one. I had to stop by the title company where the closing was taking place and they gave me a HUD 1. I understand why Attorney Lewis didn't want to give me the form now, he had increased his fee to $750. I called him about the increase in his fee, he said he had put extraordinary time in my closing and wanted $750. I said you quoted me $500. We went back and forth and he agreed to $600. He showed up for the closing and it went smoothly. I Would never use or recommend Attorney Kim Lewis to anyone again. Overall, I just found his behavior extremely unprofessional.
