Kupfer Law Offices, S.C. was started in 1954 by William O. Kupfer. Robert C. Kupfer joined the firm in 1982. Robert C. Kupfer focuses on civil matters, such as probate, wills, trusts, estate planning, real estate and business law.

The Honorable Robert C. Kupfer presides over the consolidated Municipal Courts of the Village and Town of Somers, having served in that capacity since 2005. Robert Kupfer was re-elected to serve a four-year term of Somers Municipal Judge on April 4, 2023.
Judge Kupfer graduated from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1982. He previously graduated with honors from the school of business at Marquette University in 1978 with a double major in finance and marketing. Judge Kupfer serves on several local committees devoted to legal and environmental issues.
