Douglas A. Blegen

Doug Blegen is a business, tax, and estate planning lawyer who also has experience as a litigator.  His practice focuses on the needs of closely-held businesses and professional practices, and of their principals.  This includes determining and creating the appropriate structure; negotiating and drafting partnership and shareholder agreements, employment agreements, and transactional documents; and providing counsel regarding business acquisitions and divestitures, as well as tax and estate planning.

Doug Blegen received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1983 and earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami in 1984.  He practices before all Wisconsin federal and state courts and the U.S. Tax Court.  He is a member of the Milwaukee Estate Planning Forum and is past chairman of the Tax Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association.
