Jane F. Carrig

Jane is an experienced civil litigator, handles a wide variety of family law matters, and has worked as a Guardian ad Litem in Waukesha County. She has successfully represented both businesses and individuals in a variety of matters ranging from landlord/tenant and car accident disputes in small claims court to complex civil litigation involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants in the federal district courts. Ms. Carrig also has extensive experience litigating family law issues, including divorce, custody and placement of minor children and post-judgment modification and contempt. Like her colleagues, Jane brings an important human element to the litigation process—compassion. Treating clients and counsel with respect is the best means by which to achieve their goals and assist them in resolving their conflicts with dignity and finality.

Jane was born and raised in Hartland and maintains strong roots in the community. She has served in numerous volunteer capacities at her home parish of St. Mary’s Visitation, including service on the Parish Pastoral Council and Chair of the School Board Committee. Jane is a member of the Catholic Professionals Forum, Association of Women Lawyers, State Bar of Wisconsin Lawyer Referral & Information Committee. She also serves on the Leander J. Foley, Jr. Society of Family Lawyers Board of Governors and Board of Governors for St. Thomas More Lawyers Society of Wisconsin.

She is a collaborative law professional and has been a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin since 2018. Jane is proud to support families whose members serve in the military. Jane and her husband Jim serve as president-elect for Wisconsin Air Force Academy Parents Association (WAFAPA) that support and fundraise for events and conduct outreach to assist families of Wisconsin cadets currently enrolled at Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.
