REALATIONSHIP FOREVER

Attorney Jean M. Ansay was referred to me by another attorney friend of mine in the Milwaukee area. My only request was." I wanted the Best" and boy did I get it for my Child Support fight. Her team and I became friends, family, enemies, partners and my psychiatrist. Jean was passionate about being... fair in the battle and protective of me and all my personal and business affairs. She informed me prior to agreeing to hire her that the process was going to be somewhat unpredictable but they were going to do everything in their power to take all the pressure off me and allow me to go about my day to day life. One thing I was advised of was that 'You hired me to be your attorney and I take pride in doing so....so let me do my job and represent you in the utmost professional manner you deserve. I honestly do miss them...WOW..did I say that?

Exceptional Representation

Attorney Ansay represented me throughout my divorce. She was kind yet firm, knowledgeable yet approachable. She and her incredible office staff were quick and clear with communication throughout the entire process, including follow-up questions after the divorce was finalized. If you are looking for ...someone to guide you through this emotional and overwhelming time, know that Attorney Ansay is truly the best; she will be an advocate for you and keep the best interest of you (and your children) in the forefront of everything. I am so thankful that she was on my side.

President/CEO

Thank You Attorney Jean Ansay, Some historical information so you can understand how incredible Attorney Ansay is as a lawyer and a human being!! I will probably refer to her as Jean or Jean Ansay throughout because she was much more to me than just my attorney!! My partner and I were in the pr...ocess of selling our business and unfortunately I was personally going through a divorce at the same time in WI, a marital property state with a marriage of 30+ years. Both were extremely stressful along with the duties of running the business. I hired O'Neil, Cannon, et all in Milwaukee, WI to handle both as they represented to me it would be better for the sale of the business. The attorney who represented me in the divorce at that time was recommended by the firm. He was clearly not prepared, did not understand business, he never had time for me and took no steps to thwart the constant barrage of demands from my wife & her attorney. We were slaughtered in the "Temp Order" hearing because he had me fill out my income incorrectly. On top of that he advised against a "De Novo" to reverse that outcome. From the beginning I was told to take the "emotion" out of the divorce; that may be easy to say but clearly he had never faced loosing everything!! After almost a year of mounting legal bills, and even more caving to the other side, I asked the president of the firm to recommend another attorney or I would leave the firm. Jean Ansay was his choice and quite honestly I was not happy she was not my attorney from the start. Jean represented the firm in Ozaukee County, the county of my divorce. I looked up Jean's profile and saw she had practiced family law for 30+ years, handled many cases involving business ownership, was considered an authority in business finance and had the respect of judges from all over WI. This may seem like an unrealistic statement but Jean Ansay saved my life.....literally and figuratively. I was going crazy with worry, getting beat at every turn and frustrated with the lack of business knowledge from all family practice attorneys and the courts system. Jean & I had our struggles in the beginning because I have extensive knowledge of contract law in business and strong opinions on how to handle the case. Jean was the very FIRST attorney that helped me understand that in "family law" the judge had two responsibilities vs any other legal matter; to be fair and follow the law with very broad discretion. Though lying in court would be the end of that party in other legal situations, in family court apparently they need to understand that people lie. The court must still be fair, especially to the party who did not own or run the business. Jean Ansay has the respect of every court because she NEVER lies nor would she tolerate it from her clients. Her reputation was well known throughout WI for being well prepared, knowledgeable, ethical, respectful (to both the judge and opposing counsel) and above all.....honest no matter the outcome. While lying may be acceptable in today's world, it was not to me nor to Jean Ansay; that put us on the same page. Jean was also the first person to "respectfully" let me know "my place". Although I may not have liked it, I respected her for it. Her demeanor throughout the 2+ year divorce was steady and unflappable. Opposing counsel said some pretty slanderous things and was quick to throw out anything....provable or not. I wanted vengeance.....I needed a WIN! Jean wanted what was fair and equitable despite what was going on around her. In conclusion; Jean Ansay is deserving of this long recommendation because she is more than just words on a page, she became a friend in my time of need. In the end I didn't get everything I wanted but I didn't give-up everything I could have; it was FAIR! If you want someone to give you outstanding representation, and treat you like a person who matters, there is only one choice; her name is Jean Ansay! Respectfully, Tim

Compassionate and Super-Competent

I hired Atty. Ansay to represent me in an amicable divorce proceeding. She came highly recommended from a trusted friend who spoke volumes about her professionalism and skills as an attorney. My friend was spot on. She is a quick study of the situation, she is a very good listener and gets to kn...ow the family members involved. She offers advice but is sure to not represent herself as a financial consultant or tax expert. However, her years of experience have her asking the right questions which is half of the battle. The most admirable quality she demonstrated on more than one occasion, was her ability to think and even sometimes rethink her own approach - in order to be fair to all parties involved but always remind you that she is working to represent you. She takes a difficult period in a family's time, and makes it approachable with the end always in sight. She's seasoned, and you can tell, respected by her peers and the judges she presents to. I own my own business, so I had the lives of dozens of other families in mind when I hired her. She never took that fact lightly. If i wanted to make the best out of a tough situation, and work with someone you hope you would be like as an attorney - Atty. Jean Ansay would be that person.

Excellent Lawyer with settling a family estate!

I really appreciated how she handled my mother's estate. Since I live in another state it was difficult. Her staff explained everything and explained it again if I didn't understand. Everything that needed to be done was completed fast and efficiently. I cannot thank her enough. My mother rea...lly trusted her when she was alive. She always treated my mother with respect. It was a relief to have the help I needed. Her staff is awesome, especially Colleen Burmesch, paralegal.
