Amy was born and raised in Southeastern Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor's degree from UW-Whitewater and a Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University. Over the last number of years Amy found her niche and focused her practice on helping families and children. Amy previously ran her own successful solo practice in Ohio largely working in the areas of criminal and juvenile law (CHIPS and Juvenile Delinquency), and frequently served as a guardian ad litem in both juvenile and family court where she represented the children's best interests. She later joined a small general practice firm where she practiced in a variety of areas including estate planning, family, criminal and juvenile delinquency, CHIPS, and guardian ad litem cases. After moving back to the area and being admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 2018, she joined Horizons Law Group, LLC where she practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, family, and continues to serve as a guardian ad litem. Amy has also expanded her practice to include bankruptcy as she finds debt is often closely associated with many family matters. Amy is married and has three young children.

We hired attorney Amy L Drout in April 2019. She was referred to us through a family member. We wanted permanent guardianship of one of our grandchildren. Who is going through extremely bad family life at the time. After the initial call to attorney Drout we were able to meet with her almost im...
"Amy Drout is a zealous advocate whether serving as a Guardian ad Litem for a family or an advocate for one party. She is able to drill down to the issues and guide clients or parents to focus on the essential elements of their case. Divorce and custody matters are often emotional and you need a strong professional to help wade through those items and assist you on achieving the best results under the circumstances. Amy is a parent herself and can understand all aspects of what clients or parents are facing. I wouldn't hesitate to put my trust in Amy's hands. I highly recommend Amy and her professional legal skills for your family matter."
