Jennifer Margaret Triner Olsen

Attorney Olsen graduated from Augustana College in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Social Work and Sociology and immediately worked as a social worker for Bethany for Children and Family Services where she was an in-home caseworker working with families involved with the Iowa Department of Human Services and Illinois Children and Family Services. Olsen provided intense in-home counseling services to families dealing with child abuse issues. These families were involved in the Court system due to child abuse and neglect.

In 1998, Olsen left Bethany to take a job as a Supervisor at Lutheran Social Services in Iowa. There she supervised caseworkers proving in-home services to families and children involved with the Iowa Department of Human Services. Olsen also ran the infant adoption and special needs adoption programs at L.S.S. While working full time, Olsen earned her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. Olsen is a trained individual and family counselor.

Olsen graduated from Drake University with her Law Degree in late 2003 and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2004. Upon graduation, she worked for Warner and Associates handling personal injury cases. She then worked as an associate at Aitken Law Firm handling custody, divorce and adoption cases. Additionally, Olsen worked as a contract attorney for the State of Iowa handling Juvenile Court actions.

In 2008, Olsen opened Olsen Law Firm where she is the principle attorney handling custody, divorce, adoption and Juvenile Court actions. Olsen has extensive trial experience and also has experience with private and Juvenile Court appeals.
