I hired him for a very, very simple loan agreement in which I had complete documentation, had already written out what I wanted, and had already made progress. I just couldn't get to the town of jurisdiction, and needed him to speak on my behalf. I've worked with many top notch attorneys before, an...d he is the WORST. He never gave me an agreement on procuring his services so when it came to an end we had conflict. He never gave an estimate of cost so I just sent him money as a guess. He never gave an accounting. Never gave a report. I would send him things and call and ask for status - then he would say he was CHARGING me for talking to him and each and every time what I was talking about was WHAT HAVE YOU DONE??? He never did anything. Couldn't even remember what the project was. Charged me to keep telling him what the project was. The other party (my mother!) said her attorney was never contacted, although DeKock charged me for contacting the opposition. Never did anything, never even thought about it.. 5 months of his doing NOTHING I fired him in writing and lo and behold he suddenly had an accounting that said he was keeping almost all my money!! And he did. I am out so much for getting absolutely NOTHING. Do not hire. Inept, no documentation, no paperwork, no memory - no work at all. He knows the truth of the situation and that he ripped me off, but he has my money for doing nothing and he knows it. Hope he sees this and my many other scathing reviews across the internet so that there is at least SOME sort of repercussion for his unethical business as attorneys hold all the power and never have to face consequences.
