Wills, DPOA & HCPOA for both my wife & myself

We hired Melvin to revise our 2001 Wills and Power of Attorney, as our 2 sons are in their 20's now. Melvin was known to us through a previous LLC we had done for us a few years ago. We sat down with Melvin to go over what we would want to revise. We didn't Guardians any more due to the boys' ages. ...We also wanted to keep all Estate and Property as being willed to each of us and then our sons 50/50. In turn, we discussed our wishes upon death. We reviewed both the Durable & Health Care POA's. We made changes with these, as well, to keep within the immediate family. Melvin then gave us a timeline on editing, our further review, any additional editing/reviews, and then setting up a meeting to sign and finalize with Witness participation. His firm did a great job of turning around all the documents and editing after our review. We were then able to schedule a meeting within a couple of weeks. The meeting to sign, re-established what we had agreed upon with the previous documents, and we signed, as did Witnesses, where required by law. We also had the proper documents Notarized. At this point, we were provided sealed and original copies of all documents. Melvin also made sure we had copies we could keep for review or need. Lastly, after filing with the court, Melvin sent us a zipped PDF file of all 6 documents. We can then share with our kids, who will be Executors upon the death of both my wife and myself. In the email, Melvin sent, he thanked us for the responsibility of handling this critical and sensitive information to insure thinks are handled properly within the law, as one or both of us pass away. As an extra piece, Melvin sent a brief, bullet pointed 'to do' list to make sure we follow through with last pieces, such as: shredding the old Wills, contacting our Health Care Providers with POA's, etc. Melvin was professional, thorough, detail-oriented, and personable throughout all of our interactions. Will and POA

Wow!!! What an amazing and down to earth individual. We hit it off as soon as my wife and I walked into his offIce. Melvin is an extremely down to earth person, and a very knowledgeable attorney, especially when it comes to wills, POA’s and/or trusts. I’m sure everyone who is reading this review has ...been putting off doing their wills for some time now...like us. We kept putting it off due to time and how much effort and energy it would be to find someone to help prepare our wills. Well, look no further!! Melvin was extremely easy to work with. He patiently listened to all of our questions and concerns regarding wills vs trust (and we had a lot). He was able to simplify and break down all the legal aspects of the paperwork into layman terms for us to understand. He allowed us to take our time, and discuss what we thought were the best plans for our future finances and our young son’s future if something were to happen to us. I can’t say enough about how GREAT it was to work with Melvin!!!!

Assistance in a For Sale By Owner

Melvin was considerate and knowledgeable throughout the entire process of selling my property. He patiently listened to my concerns and thoughts and provided many options to me before proceeding with the closing. I would recommend him to anyone selling a for sale by owner.

POAs and wills

My husband and I hired Melvin to prepare our POAs and wills. Melvin is very easy to work with and a very pleasant person! For two people not familiar with this process, he explained things very well (in a way we could understand) and answered all questions. Melvin was easy to contact by phone or emai...l and always responded in a timely manner. He was also flexible for appointments and very accommodating! We had to bring our newborn daughter to one of the appointments. We would highly recommend Melvin to anyone that needs preparation of a POA and/or will.

Power of Attorney & Wills

We retained Mr. Shaw as our lawyer to draw up Power of Attorney documents and wills for my fiancé and I. Mr. Shaw was very professional, friendly and patient during the entire process. He answered all of our questions and interpreted all wording in a way in which we could understand. And gave great a...dvice throughout the process. What could have been a very painful and confusing process was quick and easy! I definitely recommend!
