The conditions of your release would be on your Order Re: Initial Appearance form. It would matter what that next hearing is, as well.

The only criminal charges in Iowa that can be expunged following conviction are PAULA and Public Intox. I think you may be out of luck.

Two people have been charged with the same crime. The driver and passenger have been charged with OWI. No alcohol found in car.

Best choice is to have your friend repeat the same statements to the prosecutor, or submit an affidavit. Hopefully that would avoid a trial.
