N/AOUTCOME: Victory at Trial Court, Victory at the Appeals Court, and Victory at the Supreme Court
I represented the children of the decedent who were the primary beneficiaries of their dad's $5 million trust. The decedent's fifth wife was not satisfied with her $2 million share. She challenged the ... trust and claimed she was entitled to more. I defended the trust. I argued her challenge violated the trust's "no contest clause". The trust warned everyone that by not respecting the decedent's wishes, that ungrateful beneficiary would receive nothing. She lost her $2 million inheritance.
