OUTCOME: NOT GUILTY
Client was charged with a truancy violation, and had signed a confession. Despite this, I took the case to a district court bench trial and got the client a NOT GUILTY.
OUTCOME: NOT GUILTY
Client was charged with 2nd Degree Kidnapping. He maintained the whole time that he was innocent and wasn't even there when the crime occurred. After waiting 4 years for a trial (mostly due to COVID), ... I was able to use the prosecution's own evidence to prove my client was telling the truth: he wasn't there when the incident occurred.
OUTCOME: NOT GUILTY
Client was stopped and forced to do field sobriety tests for 2 different troopers. Despite telling them repeatedly he recently suffered a stroke and blowing less than 0.08 on the intoxilyzer, they char ... ged him with DWI. We took the case to a district court bench trial and won a NOT GUILTY.
OUTCOME: Cost and Fine Only
Client was charged with multiple DWLR Impaired violations, each of which can carry up to 120 days in jail. I was able to get him the lowest possible punishment: cost and a fine only.
OUTCOME: Dismissed after suppression motion
Client was pulled over after making a U-turn before a DWI checkpoint. Police attempted to say that the U-turn was illegal. At trial, I was able to show that the U-turn was legal and the officer did not ... have the right to pull my client over. The Judge suppressed all the evidence that came after the stop (fruit of the poisonous tree).
