Client swerved to miss a deer in his car and got stuck in the ditch. He went home and was met a few hours later by police who gave him a misdemeanor ticket for failing to report an accident and a 2-poi ... nt civil infraction. The client contacted me right away (I was on the phone with the client while the police were there) so he could be protected. I got involved and went to work. The prosecutor's initial offer was a joke. Completely unacceptable. After further negotiations, this was reduced to a fine only 0-point civil infraction. Honestly, we could have beat this entire case, but the client wanted it to be over. I don't blame him. It's still a win for him.

OUTCOME: Got the apartment and the problem was out of a job!

Client is a single mother of two kids. She went to get an apartment which is subsidized by HUD. In the application process, she started getting grilled by the lady who said she was the manager (but rea ... lly wasn't). She had my client jumping through multiple hoops, different stories, different requirements, and none of them made sense. Even to this day, I don't know what the deal was. I got a phone call from the client and I went to work. I contacted the apartment complex and started clarifying the requirements, what's been done, and what needs to be done. About a week after I got involved, I was notified my client got her apartment. But that's not all. The actual apartment manager was notified by HUD there was a civil rights complaint lodged against them and their apartment complex was under investigation. That's still not all. The lady giving my client all the problems, retired a few days after my client got her apartment!!
