Joe Narmi is proud to be a Southwest Iowa native. Joe graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, with a degree in Finance and a Minor in Psychology in 1996; he graduated from Creighton University with a Master of Business Administration in 1998; and he graduated from the Creighton University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2001. After passing the Iowa Bar Exam, Joe worked as a Prosecutor for the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s Office from 2001 to 2007. Joe entered the Executive Development Program at First National Bank in May of 2007, where he spent three years with First National Bank in a variety of roles. In June of 2010, Joe opened his own law practice in downtown Council Bluffs.
Joe is a member of the Fourth Judicial District Bar Association; a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, including membership in the sections of Criminal Law, Family and Juvenile Law, and Probate and Trust and Estate Planning, as well and past memberships in the Business Law Section, Real Estate and Title Law Section, and Worker’s Compensation Section; a member of the Federalist Society; a past member of the Iowa Trust Association; and is the past President of the Pottawattamie County Bar Association.
Joe is involved in many Community activities. Joe is the Chairman of the Council Bluffs Area Board of Catholic Education; is a member of the St. Albert Educational Foundation; is the Chairman of the Diocese of Des Moines Allegation Review Committee; is on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Tuition Organization (CTO); is a member of the Knights of Columbus; is a Sports Reporter for KMA Broadcasting 960AM; appears on Boomer Radio 1490AM and Bluffs Country as an Iowa High School Sports and Political Expert; has been a long-time Judge for the revered Hoo Doo Day Parade in Neola; is a Board Member of the Salem United Methodist Church Money Mentors and Compassion Program; is a former central committee member of the Pottawattamie County Republican Party; is the owner of the St. Albert Sports Fan website (); was a long-time mentor in the TeamMates Mentoring Program; is the Chairman of the Pottawattamie County Compensation Board; and is a Past Chairman of the Corpus Christi Parish Pastoral Council.
Joe enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, reading, fishing, playing cards, following Iowa high school sports, and following the stock market.
