• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Traffic stop
Feb 05, 2016OUTCOME: Case dropped (No Information Notice)
State v. K. (Seminole County). We were hired on February 3, 2016 to represent the client on a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia offense following a traffic stop, wherein the client was the driver and w ... as allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Following a drug dog search two bags of controlled substances were also locating in the vehicle. The day our office was hired we immediately contacted the State Attorney’s Office, presented our legal theories/arguments (drug dog not timely brought to the scene, jurisdiction and constructive possession), and requested formal charge not be filed. We promptly received a response from the State that the charge was being dropped and the State filed a No Information Notice in the case.
