Ms. Pu represented the Mother on a highly contested custody/visitation modification and relocation case against her ex-husband in Fairfax County Circuit Court. Mother brought the case because her emplo ... yment required that she relocate to a country in South Asia. Father strongly opposed the relocation, arguing that the proposed relocation would damage his relationship with the children, and decried the Mother’s destination as dangerous. At trial, Ms. Pu was able to establish that while a relocation from Northern Virginia to South Asia would be a big move, the move was necessary due to the Mother’s changing employment and in the children’s best interest. The court ultimately ruled in favor of the Mother, permitted the relocation, and granted the Mother primary physical custody and final decision making authority with respect to legal custody.
