In a commercial dispute between a small Iowa business and a large out-of-state company the out-of-state company convinced an Iowa state district court judge that a permissive forum selection clause in ... a contract that allowed litigation in another state prohibited litigation in any other state. I assisted in the initial briefing at the district court, the motion to reconsider, and the appeal to the Iowa Court of Appeals.
