I represented the Defendants in this eviction case. My clients were section-8 voucher holders and their landlord was seeking to evict them for non-payment of rent. However, the Public Housing Agency wh ... ich issued their voucher stopped payments to the Plaintiff because the apartment unit failed the annual inspection was found to be not habitable. Rather than make the repairs, the Plaintiff sued my clients in district court for unpaid rent. We took the case to trial. The court found in our favor and ordered the Plaintiff to make the repairs immediately. She also awarded my client her costs and fees, including attorneys fees, which we were able to recover for her.
