I had a DUI from a treatment clinic I dose at every day and got in accident (admit it was my fault) I told cop I was on my way home from dosing at my treatment clinic and he gave me OWI. I had 12 court appearances so far and had to attend each one so couldn’t get a job, had no license, court is 30 mi...n away and I had wrong day written down and she never called me to see if I was coming she knew I never missed hearings and put warrant out for me. She bad mouthed me to the county atty In front of me, told co atty it was my 3rd OWI and it was not so they made plea offer for 3rd offense and I just found out my cousin is on the board for misconduct in Nebraska but he knows who’s on iowa board for misconduct. Had she called me I would never missed hearing I now have warrant out for my arrest and my PO even asked if she called me to see if I was coming I said no I had nov 5th 9am on my calendar. So iowa is only state you get owi for getting treatment at clinic and I have letter from my treatment dr saying I can drive. I’ve heard she’s worse public defender in the state and my luck I get her.
