Relationship: Supervised lawyer

"I've known Glen since he was in law school and he had volunteered his time to serve on a panel of law students willing to assist people who needed legal help, but couldn't afford it. He is a lawyer for all the right reasons: He is passionate about the law and helping people through their legal troubles. In the process, he is protecting all of our civil rights. We need more lawyers in the profession like Glen Downey."

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2018.

Reprimand issued in IA, 2018

updated on 03/13/2018

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2018
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
