Courtney Ann Strutt Todd

I have been active in the public finance area and involved in most of Davis Brown Law Firm's public finance issues over the past five years, with particular emphasis on the tax aspects of those financings. In the last three years I have worked as either bond counsel, underwriter's counsel or issuer's counsel on approximately $1.4 billion in general governmental bonds, $417 million in education bonds and $48 million in economic development bonds.

My work in this area includes reviewing adoption agreements for various types of plans, providing advice on how to fix problems in various plans which cause qualification issues, and preparing documents for the IRS correction program.

A part of my practice is also all types of general business transactions from selling businesses, creating businesses, day to day transactions and extraordinary business transactions.

I have done all types of Tax work including formation of businesses, buying and selling businesses, working with clients on IRS and Iowa Department of Revenue issues, ERISA planning and tax planning on various business transactions.
