A mother of 6 was falsely accused of theft and fraud. The State presented a document purporting to be a signed confession. On closer examination, the signature was not the defendant's and appeared to b ... e forged. Rothenberg asked the State for funds to hire an examiner but the judge denied the request, while allowing the State to bring its expert in to testify. After 4 days of trial, the jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict and waived to the defendant on the way out of the courtroom
