Biography
Rush Nigut practices primarily in business and franchise law in West Des Moines, Iowa. Rush advises businesses of all sizes from start-ups to established businesses including technology and communication companies, franchise operations, banking and financial institutions, contractors and manufacturers.
Rush is a shareholder in the law firm of Brick Gentry, P.C. He joined the firm in March of 2008 is formerly a shareholder with the law firm of Sullivan & Ward, P.C. Throughout his career, Rush has been active in civic and community affairs. The Des Moines Business Record named Rush to the 2006 class of the Des Moines' Forty under 40 community leaders. He is a 2000 Graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute. He is active as a coach in the Raccoon Valley Little League. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of The Rooftop Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of low-income families in the Des Moines area.
Rush is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association (former member of Technology Committee), Polk County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is a member of the ABA Forum on Franchising.
Rush's blog, Rush on Business, is nationally recognized and has been quoted or referenced by hundreds of other legal and business blogs and Web sites including the Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine.
