Officers have discretion to treat some different than others. Most likely, the kids acted differ tell towards the officer.

Depends on prosecutor and judge. I would guess range would be 7 days to 90 days.

I believe there are steps that you can take to move with the child to another state. I believe a lawyer would be necessary.

I think you have a good chance of acquittal or at a minimum a plea deal to less than reckless. Possibly get dismissed in exchange for driver...

If his rights have been terminated, he pays no further child support per Iowa law
