Biography
I was born and raised in Virginia. I grew up on the family farm. I worked along side my parents growing apples and peaches and raising cows. I was active in athletics and received a scholarship to attend Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia. While attending college I played volleyball and softball.
I moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1997. My husband played baseball for the Sioux City Explorers. I started working as a paralegal, but had my heart set on law school. I graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2003 and moved to Marshall County, Iowa. My husband is the baseball coach at Marshalltown Community College. I have practiced law in Marshalltown, Iowa since 2003. I also served on the city council and as Mayor of Haverhill, Iowa. I am currently the President of the YMCA. I have three wonderful children. Liberty is 12 years old and I was blessed with twins, Ella and Brady that are 9 years old. They are very active in sports and keep me busy.
