Very busy man though so it's sometimes a challenge to gain his attention to matters too far in advance to court hearings. Best if met w...ith in person rather than over the phone. Overall, exemplary. Including the rest of the team with the firm.

Mr. Kaplan was recommended several years ago as the "big hitter" in family law in our area. He did some good work for us on custody issues originally, though even then there would be the occasional oddity like him meeting with a judge and agreeing to a continuance without consulting us. But lately hi...s service has been terrible. His office has been extremely slow to handle important matters. It took months for them to file a simple adoption petition. The guardian ad litem he assigned had no idea he was even on the case until the day of the hearing where he was supposed to testify. The only thing Kaplan's office has been in any hurry about in the last year is collecting fees.
