A client was accused by a bank of refusing to make payments on two loans totaling over $30,000 and failing to turn over the property that was purchased with the loans. The bank filed a criminal compla ... int against our client and the District Attorney’s Office in Atascosa County indicted him for Hindering a Secured Creditor. Our office negotiated with both the bank’s attorney as well as prosecutors to reach an agreement for our client to pay restitution for the principal amount of the loan in exchange for the dismissal of all criminal charges. As part of our agreement, the bank and prosecutors agreed to waive all interest, fees, and attorneys' costs – a concession that saved our client thousands of dollars in restitution payments.

On the eve of trial, the State offered a five year deferred adjudication on an Injury to a child allegation that did not include a sex offender registration. Our client accepted the offer and was very pleased with that resolution

A client was charged with a felony for Evading a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle. The DA's Office was stubborn about the case, apparently reading only the police officer's report and not looking at t ... he video that was in the file. The video supported our client's story that he did not see the police officer behind him. Our client's vehicle was barely visible in the officer's video at a distance of approximately a quarter of a mile in heavy traffic. Our refusal to plead to the charge ultimately resulted in our client agreeing to plead to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving with a sentence of one day deferred adjudication.
