Sarah responded to a search for a civil case lawyer in Iowa. I had hired a contractor to do concrete work for me & paid him $7,200 upfront. I had him sign a notorized receipt stating work to be performed and price I was paying and on Sarah’s phone consultation I explained that to her. In Iowa s...mall claims are limited to $6,500 so I told her about the paper I had the contractor sign, that I wanted to get the full $7,200 back plus her fees and anything over that amount she could get that I’d split in half with her. She told me that this case was her passion, that it was going to be cut & dried and that it would be &1,000 up front. After paying her another $1,500 she informed me that I couldn’t get legal fees paid unless I had it written in a contract (she knew from day one that it was just notorized & a simple pay amount & work to be done paper) also I couldn’t get pain & suffering etc. in Iowa. I do have a contract from her stating that she’d get 1/2 of the amount over the $7,200 + legal fees proving that she had told me that I could get what I was suing for!!! Please thing twice before hiring Sarah Pasquale for any civil cases in Iowa. She cost me $2,500 on top of the original $7,200 I was cheated out of. I fired her & filed a small claims case myself & won that case myself which I should have been advised to do on her first consultation. Dave Wilken in Iowa.
