Gary Eugene Oldenburger

I am a criminal defense and trial attorney with more than eleven years experience practicing almost exclusively in criminal law.  I obtained my JD and also an LLM (Masters of Law) with a focus on criminal law from Drake University Law School.  I was a prosecutor for about eight years as an assistant county attorney and county attorney.  I have been in private practice for the last four years.  I have handled all types of criminal cases from traffic tickets to murder.  I am not afraid to go to trial, in fact, trials are the part of my job that I enjoy the most.  I have tried dozens of criminal trials of all types including operating while intoxicated (OWI/DUI), domestic abuse, elder abuse, sexual abuse, willful injury, robbery, burglary, drug possession, possession with intent to distribute/ conspiracy, attempted murder, arson, and murder.  I have also handled numerous post-conviction relief cases.  Having worked as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, I know how prosecutors think and work, and they ways that police and prosecutors can try to infringe on your rights or coerce you into unfavorable plea deals.
