Our client was rearended by a drunk driver. His pickup truck sustained moderate damages and he sustained injuries but did not immediately seek treatment. His injury was to his left shoulder, which is ... his non-dominant hand. After chiropractic treatment did not resolve his discomfort, he went to an Orthopedic surgeon. No surgery was required but he attended physical thereapy for a few months and had injections into his shoulder. He owns his own construction company and was able to continue to work. Our client made a good recover and competed his medical treatment but continues to have some discomfort. We pursued the at fault driver (who paid its limits) and made a claim against our client's Underinsured Motorist carrier. The DUI drove up the value of the case, which we were able to settle.
