Slip and Fall Defense

Patron notified employees of a large supermarket that he was feeling ill. Employees provided patron a chair to get him off of his feet. When sitting down the chair rolled backwards and plaintiff fell o ... ff the chair, hitting his head and sustaining serious personal injuries. Defense argued that store employees were eager to assist and that if plaintiff fell while standing up he would likely have suffered more serious injuries. Case was dismissed.
