I would never recommend Mr. Bauer as a lawyer. I paid a large fee but he could never be reached to discuss the case or my concerns as he told me, "I am the legal surgeon, you don't ask your surgeon what needs to be done (or cut out), you just let him do the operation." Well, I actually want to be ...a part of the patient-client relationship and not blindly put my trust in someone I do not know. Mr Bauer was almost impossible to reach by phone or email. I called him over and over and he almost never responded to calls or emails. He wouldn't send me a release of information until I spoke to another lawyer to get help with how to deal with this lack of response from him or his office. I never was allowed to talk to him about my case or my concerns because he was "never available." In fact, I had to fire him after being charged $1100 though I barely spoke to him about my case or options or my concerns and I nearly missed my court date because neither he or his office staff wouldn't let me know my court date. When I was finally given the date, it was only three days in advance (including a weekend). I am an MD and so I am educated and I can competently say, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND Mr. Bauer TO ANYONE, especially to anyone who has suffered traumas such as rape or child abuse.
