After a tragic fire loss, I hired a public adjuster to represent me (Michigan Fire Claims, also recommended). The insurance company showed every sign of putting up a serious fight for what was a large claim. Police also took an interest in the fire, and asked me to take a polygraph. I consulted MFC r...egarding the polygraph, they referred me to Michael. He handled every aspect of the claim after that. He gave solid advice, and investigated the available information very thoroughly. He made observations the insurance company and police overlooked. Rather than dealing with a criminal investigation, or a contested claim, the claim was settled (albeit slowly, as insurance companies apparently tend to with large claims). I don’t have much experience retaining attorneys, but I feel fine with what I paid for Michael’s services, and think of it as money well spent. He was easy to work with and seemed well-suited temperamentally to deal with the insurance company. If someone was in a similar situation to mine, I would recommend Michael Helveston’s services without hesitation.

Michael is very good at what he does and if there was a 10 star rating instead of a 5 star rating....I would give him 11 stars. I hired him to help with a business fire insurance loss claim that seemed to be going nowhere. He worked with our public adjuster and always kept the ball rolling when thi...ngs seemed to be at a standstill. I recall several phone calls and emails where he was simply "checking in" to see if we made any progress with the claim with our public adjuster....how many attorneys do that?? Michael responded very promptly to any correspondence whether by email or phone. Rarely, did I call his office and not reach him as opposed to leaving messages. He has a lot of knowledge on the subject and even pointed out errors made in correspondence from our insurance company. Basically if you need an attorney to go to bat for you in the legal fields he specializes in, then you will not find a better attorney than Michael Helveston. I only wish I knew about him / hired him sooner....the 3+ year claim probably would have been resolved much quicker and without my need for a public aduster. If I ever need legal assistance again for whatever reason, Michael will be my first call.

While it wasn't any more pleasant to deal with our insurance company of nearly 20 years. He, at least, was able to wade through the issues and resolved our claim our nearly 3 year old claim. My husband and I were so grateful to Michael's hard work, compassion, ethics and knowledge. If anyone out there should have the misfortune of an insurance claim. We would have no problem with recommending Michael Helveston as an attorney. He really knows his stuff in the insurance industry and is an honest, hard-working man.
