I purchase a new home on Lake Michigan a few years back. It is a beautiful piece of property, and I had a inspiring vision of how I was going to make it into my dream retirement home. One component of that vision was to build a pole barn-type work structure on one part of the property. Unfortunately,... the land was classified by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality as "wetlands."
