First off and foremost, I would like to Thank Leticia for her time, her resilience, the passion she put into handling my cases and getting the most favorable outcome. She was hired by family to represent me first time around on various different charges and the outcome of that was outstanding. I cou...ldn’t be any happier, I then hired her myself and was once again quite content with favorable results. I felt I was represented quite well as if I was family I felt calm and at ease throughout the process, any question/concern I had phone call made to her would be answered promptly. Leticia Perez is a horrible excuse for a lawyer. I feel sorry for anyone who is unlucky enough to get her as a court appointed lawyer. She was assigned to my case for an expired MMMP license. I got to talk to her for five minutes before my preliminary exam. She told me it was "just a technicality"... and I "might get fines at most". This was the only time she even stepped foot in the courtroom with me. At my next court date, I spoke with her for 5 minutes. Then she left the courthouse and had one of her coworkers go in front of the judge with me. After this court date, I had some questions to ask her, so I called her office. I did not receive a call back. I called once or twice a week until my sentencing date with no response from her. When I went to court for my sentencing, she did not even show up. Once again, a different coworker of hers went before the judge with me. I was sentenced to 30 days in jail, so my wife tried contacting her while I was in jail, but also got no response. Overall, I tried to reach her for 10-12 weeks without hearing a single word from her. I would never, ever hire her by choice. She did nothing but neglect her job as my defense attorney and completely ignored me- never returned my phone calls and did not even show up to defend me in court. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. If I ever need an attorney again, I will make sure it's not Leticia Perez.
