I was camping at Warren Dunes State Park and had a run-in with the camp troopers, and I was issued a citation for possession of cannabis. I didn't want to use a public defender as I thought I'd have better chances hiring my own attorney which is how I ended up with Heath Lynch as my attorney, and I c...ouldn't be happier with my decision. Heath didn't sugar coat anything and always explained the good, the bad, and the possibilities of what could happen. Heath was extremely knowledgeable of the law, extremely professional, courteous, always punctual, and always followed through on what we discussed. At the initial arraignment the prosecutor did offer a plea deal so if I plead guilty to use I would have to pay heavy fines, I would be on probation, my driver's license would have been immediately suspended, I wouldn't have been allowed to leave the state, and I would have had a misdemeanor on my record for 7 years and after the 7 years I would be able to get it expunged. Like I said earlier; hiring Heath Lynch and having him work out a different plea deal I only ended up with a minimal fine, probation, and automatic expungement after the 6 months so no misdemeanor on my record, I can leave the state, and I kept my driver's license.
