Biography
I started practice in California in 1983, working in insurance defense litigation and business transactions. In 1994 we moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to join my present firm. I serve as general business and corporate counsel to a wide variety of clients in the West Michigan area. I am a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the State Bar of California (inactive). I am a member of the State Bar Business and Tax Section and Real Property Section, and a past president of the Business and Tax Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoy living in West Michigan, living on a lake, skiing (water and snow), and enjoying the seasons. We have four children (all married) and eight grandchildren and pretty much simply enjoy helping people.
