Jesse Daniel Bergwerff

Every person has a story, and my role as an attorney is to listen carefully, understand what matters most, and help clients take the right legal steps forward. If I had to describe my work in one word, it would be service. I am committed to providing thoughtful guidance and high-quality legal solutions that align with each client’s unique goals and circumstances.

Before entering the legal profession, I served as a Military Police Officer with the 716th Military Police Battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. That experience instilled in me discipline, integrity, and a deep sense of responsibility to others. After completing my military service, I earned a B.A. in Science Education from Calvin University and began working in family law while attending law school.

I graduated cum laude from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where I received the Distinguished Student Award, the law school’s highest honor, as well as the Top Advocate Award for Moot Court. These experiences shaped my commitment to excellence, preparation, and clear advocacy.

Today, I serve as the Managing Attorney of Parakletos Law PLC in Hudsonville, Michigan. My practice focuses on probate, estate planning, adoption, family law, business law, and immigration matters. I strive to provide compassionate, practical counsel and to walk alongside clients during some of the most important and challenging moments of their lives.

Outside of my practice, I am an adjunct professor at Davenport University. I am grateful for my wife and two children, stay active in my church, and value time spent with family, friends, and community.
