Growing up, I always had the desire to help people, and I turned that desire into my reality with my successful career as an attorney. The first three years of my legal career were spent as a bankruptcy attorney, helping clients relieve the heavy burden of unmanageable debt. Since then, I combined my bankruptcy practice with a family law practice by representing clients in divorces, child custody disputes, and child abuse/neglect cases. 

Social Security Disability is another area of the law where I am able to help people who really need it by assisting clients with obtaining disability benefits. 

Estate planning and landlord tenant disputes are other areas where I am able to assist clients, in addition to  defending teens with juvenile delinquent charges.

It is extremely important to me that people of any means have access to quality, affordable legal help when they need it. About 50% of my practice is committed to court-appointed work for indigent clients. I also work with low-income clients to set a fee scale they can afford. The last thing I want to do is put a financial strain on anyone who is already going through a stressful and often life-changing period.   ​

When I am not in the office, I like to run, go bike-riding, cheer for the Tigers and the Lions, play with my rescue pup, spend time with my amazing family, and volunteer in my community.
