Robert Schlacks

I was born in Southwest Michigan and educated in Illinois. I graduated, cum laude, from Eastern Illinois University, with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and a minor in pre-law studies. From there I went on to The John Marshall Law School in Chicago (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law) where I earned my Juris Doctor. After practing personal injury law for 8 years in the Chicago area, I moved back to Southwest Michigan. I joined the Berrien County Public Defender Office in 2019. There, I practiced criminal defense, honing my litigation skills and protecting the civil rights of everyone in the community by representing over 600 individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony violations. 

After three and a half years working for Berrien County, I decided to return to my civil litigation roots. I joined Conybeare Injury and Accident Lawyers where I have continued to grow prefessional and personally. I am thrilled to be part of a team that works to support people, their families, and their dignity during difficult times in their lives, and advocate for our clients to obtain fair compensation from the insurance companies.
