Jason N. Machnik

Jason is a Kalamazoo native, with an international upbringing. He was raised speaking English and Italian, and later studied French and Japanese. Jason attended and graduated cum laude from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he earned the Certificate of Merit in Property Law. His law career began in the spring of 2011 when he prosecuted his first jury trial. After that, Jason worked in a county prosecutors office, served three circuit court judges, a large Kalamazoo law firm, and finally as a partner at a smaller firm before founding Herbert Machnik Law Firm together with his partner, Benjamin Herbert. 

At Herbert Machnik, Jason leads the Litigation and Real Property Teams, using his team's collective experience and expertise to protect the firm's clients from litigation and liability whenever possible. However, sometimes litigation can't be avoided, and in these cases Jason takes a practical, holistic approach to protecting the client and their interests as a whole. It takes real world experience and understanding of each individual client to know the difference between what is ultimately best for their issue and focusing solely on the legal result. Jason and the rest of his team at Herbert Machnik pride themselves on a client focused approach and work tirelessly to achieve the best results for their clients.
