Didn't even show up to court!

Peter has been awful. So bad that I am filing a grievance with the Michigan Bar! I had to hire another lawyer, firing Peter and requesting my money back. He did not notify me of court (thank God my husband did), he did not show up to court (so I represented myself for my divorce pro-con, he had to be... subpoenaed to court later for not filing a judgement, and then went AWOL again. He lied several times about what was going on and having filed papers when he hadn't. He only returned calls when threatened with a subpoena, but that didn't even work anymore in the end to get out judgement enters (months late). Do not use him! My new lawyer has gotten more done in 24 hours than Peter did in the better part of a year. My case should be done in a couple weeks. If you want a lawyer that will take your money and then ignore you, will never finish your case, and may not even show up to court (if he does it will never be on time), then go with Peter. If you want a good lawyer that cares and does not sit on cases go with Ed Annen...he's been amazing and I'm really grateful my boss ran into someone else at work who happened to have just switched from Peter to Ed for the same reason!

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Did I say terrible?

If I could give zero stars, I would. This experience has been terrible. Papers not files, phone calls not returned, and who knows how many lies. He had virtually nothing to do. My spouse and I came to all of the terms ourselves. All we wanted was someone to make sure all of the legal 't's were cross...ed and 'i's dotted and that the papers were filed in a timely fashion. He couldn't even do this much. He's very personable when you meet him. You sit down for the consultation and leave convinced that this man will represent you well. Then you pay him. Then he disappears. If you are considering hiring this man, I'll make you an offer: hire me, instead. You can pay me what you'd pay him, I'll do nothing, and a few months to a year later I'll give you half of your money back. It's exactly the same as if you'd hired him, EXCEPT YOU GET SOME OF YOUR MONEY BACK! Save yourself the trouble and hire someone, ANYONE, other than Peter D'Angelo. I'm hoping to see him disbarred in the near future to prevent him taking advantage of anyone else already going through a difficult time.

Horrible Horrible Horrible!

He's very quick to sell you on the fact that he's the lawyer for you! As typical lawyers do they pretend to take a interest in your case and he's a good actor. Someone stated that his secretary was rude and that is a very accurate statement, you will call she will answer and she's pretty unsure o...f her own life, she knows nothing!. Do not fall for this low budget lawyer, you get what you pay for and he's knows it! He's lazy, unresponsive and will do little work. I had to prepare most of my own paperwork. He will make you want to sue him in the end over lack of work vs. money! You are better off defending your self, seriously avoid and don't fall for the low amounts of money keep searching for another lawyer!

Unimpressed

Peter, initially, showed interest in my case but as soon as he was paid he could have cared less and had no backbone when it came to talking to the judge.

I would have been better off represending myself !!

I thought Peter would help me "fairly settle" custody, and child support matters based on my initial consultation, so I retained him. BIGGEST MISTAKE NEXT TO MARRIAGE. While in court, Peter never stood up to defend me when her lawyer tried to make me out to be mud (as lawyer's will do while defendin...g females). Not once did Peter discuss in court what I had asked him to. He cowardly neglected speak up on my behalf, and relied on her lawyer to write-up all the paperwork, calculations, and terms for divorce, casually reviewing the documents, and failing to catch the important details the other laywer had "slipped" in. In the end, I was responsible for signing off my assets and custody time, not Peter. He rarely returns calls, and never seems to be available per his rude secratary who states simply "Would you like me to give him a message ?", but yet no call back in weeks ! Peter did not work for me, instead he let the court system, and the other lawyer do all the work while I paid for it. Had I defended myself, this entire process, and outcome would have yielded better results for everyone, including our children.
