Real Estate and Riparian Rights.  I live on a lake and much of my practice concerns challenges faced by other riparian owners, including boundary disputes, quiet title actions, deed restrictions, adverse possession, land use and zoning matters, environmental issues, riparian rights, easements, road ends and access issues.  My real estate practice also includes landlord/tenant law, construction lien and other construction law matters.

Commercial Litigation.  I have represented individuals and businesses in a variety of contract, dealership, franchise and other business disputes.  Many of those matters involve a tremendous volume of documents and electronically stored information.  In addition to taking dozens of cases though trial, I have handled appeals in both state and federal courts.

Family and Closely-Held Businesses.  Family businesses present unique challenges.  While the rewards can be great, conflict, leadership and succession issues can be particularly tense.  I have significant experience litigating claims involving breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, trade secrets, conversion and the misappropriation of confidential business information.
