Derek Edward Dee

As a disabled Veteran, I know how frustrating and discouraging the VA Claims process can be. I was ready to give up. I Filed a VA Disability claim in 2015, which the VA denied. I filed my own appeal and realized I needed help. In early 2020, I had a Board of Veterans' Appeals in less than 1 month, another Law Firm who said they would represent me, backed out at the last minute. I was really desperate, and was go...ing to represent myself, when I reached out to the "VA Disability Group, PLLC" and spoke with Attorney Derek Dee. Derek decided to take on my case, even though he saw a very big challenge and an "Uphill battle". Derek prepared for my case and represented me at the Board of Veterans' Appeals. Derek and his hard-working staff did a thorough evaluation of my newly received Military Service Records (From the 4th Request) and private medical records, and we filed new disability claims. I’m very very thankful. In 2004 I was separated from the military with no help from the military. My mental illnes...s, pain, amongst other things has been a battle. I was in a very bad accident and because of the accident and other injuries from the military I was no longer to continue service. So the army put me out with no help. I went to the VA three times for help after service .. I was turned down twice and on the third time in 2013 which was 9 years later I was granted healthcare and 10% for my back. Throughout the last 7 years I gained service connection for other things but it was a hard fight. I couldn’t keep jobs, I was in an out of treatment and I’m still am to this day. I thought I would never see a 100% VA rating. Derek Dee and the staff here helped me obtain this rating. This has made me feel better knowing I have healthcare still that I need and compensation to live on. It’s been a long journey from 2004. I wish I knew of Derek Dee and VA disability group back then.
