Following a special and general education K-12 teaching career spanning 20+ years, Rebecca Kerr is now practicing law full time through her firm, Callebs Law, PLLC, and is very excited to be “of counsel” for the Law Offices of Casey D. Conklin, PLC.
Rebecca attended Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley School of Law - Ann Arbor Campus, from May, 2011 to May, 2014, graduating Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. Teaching full-time while attending full-time evening classes, she was on the Dean’s List and the Honor Roll for all 9 terms, and was awarded three certificates of merit (highest score in the class), in the areas of Professional Responsibility, Civil Procedure, and District Court Practice. Rebecca completed her legal internship at the Elder Law and Estate Planning Clinic in Lansing, Michigan under the supervision of attorney Gary Bauer. Rebecca took the February, 2015 Michigan Bar Examination and received her Recommendation for Bar Admission from the Michigan Board of Law Examiners in May, 2015. Sworn into practice by the Honorable Richard LaFlamme, at the Jackson County Circuit Court on May 14, 2015, Rebecca has been representing clients in the areas of Family Law, Estate Planning, Probate, and general civil claims for the past 2 years.
Rebecca is admitted to the Western District of Michigan Federal Court.
In addition, Rebecca is a licensed Notary Public for the State of Michigan and provides notary services to clients and the community on an as-needed basis.
Rebecca is also an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. She performs marriage ceremonies in Lenawee, Jackson, Calhoun, Washtenaw, and Ingham Counties.
