Trust Bankruptcy Representation

I retained Attorney Gerdes in 2013 to represent me as an Estate Trustee against an individual who owed the Trust a significant amount of money, and then declared bankruptcy to avoid repayment. The proceedings dragged out for 18 months. Andy provided support through the entire process. He was able... to educate me about the ins and outs of Michigan Bankruptcy law. His advice was thoughtful and pragmatic. He provide an appropriate amount of legal representation while doing his best to minimize the legal expenses required to pursue the receivable. Because the legal matter is still proceeding through both the Michigan Probate and Appellate Courts, Andy has provided advice that has allowed us to continue to protect our claim even though the Bankruptcy was concluded. Overall, I am very please with the representation provided by Andy and would recommend him to anyone involved in a complex bankruptcy case.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
