Courtney Leigh Thom

I hired Courtney to represent me in a case against my ex who owed me equity in the marital home (which was spelled out very clearly in the divorce decree.) Her lack of timely responses to questions, court dates, emails, court motions, ended up with me losing my case, and the ex filing chapter 13 bank...ruptcy so he didn't have to pay me the equity owed to me which was clearly defined by the court system in Midland, that it WAS OWED to me. Another very unsatisfied client!!

I hired Ms. Thom after interviewing 3 attorneys. She acknowledged that I had legitimate concerns when asked if she would 'fight' for me and my child. After I paid her, she wouldn't reply to my calls or emails. I didn't hear from her until 9pm the night before our 1st court appearance, which was the o...nly one she attended. She did not fight for us. Not in any way. Almost as if she was working for the other side. It was very apparent she only wanted my retainer. She did not proceed with our discussed plan and told me it was wrong to even hope for sole custody. Now my child is in a dangerous environment the other 50% of the time. She was a huge detriment to our case. She then sent me an additional bill after she used the retainer to review but not reply to my voice and email messages, which I unjustly paid, just so I didn't have to deal with her again.
